There are some places I like to visit constantly, and Olvera Street is one of them.
Although usually around the weekends it's chaos, I still don't mind going. Since I am of mexican descent, I feel closer to the culture that I still learn more about every day.
If you ever get a chance to come to LA, make sure you visit this place. There is a lot of history, a lot of culture, lots of color and AMAZING yummy food...

ReplyDeleteOooh I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'll make sure whenever I go to LA, to go there. I love Mexican Art/crafts.
Have you been to Tonala near Guadalajara, Mexico?
Well I went a year ago OMG I was so amazed and in love, unfortunately I couldn't buy a lot of stuff since I had limited luggage to pass on the airplane ride home. I seriously just want to fill up a truckload of stuff.
Is the one in LA expensive cus I went to Old Town, San Diego and their stuff was expensive. Of course in Tonala everything was reasonable well for those exchanging dollars to pesos.
lupe,
ReplyDeleteNo, I have never been to Guadalajara. Although its on top of my list. I really want to go since I hear its beautiful!
The things here can be pricey. It just really depends. Some things are cheap while other things you are thinking "WHAT! I can get that much cheaper in mexico" lol
Olvera St is my absolute favorite spot in California aside Chavez Ravine!!! Those are GREAT pics!!! Jeffrey
