Back to the Basics....

Sometimes a girl just runs to the basics. Today was one of those days. Especially with this vintage Schwinn Fiesta bicycle my brother built. In case you don't know, my brother built's custom bicycles, restores bicycles, and sells parts for all your bicycle needs. If you want to check out what he is done, check out www.facebook.com/thebiketailor . I promise you wont be disappointed. He has done a lot of great bicycles including a glow-in-the-dark. It comes in handy to have someone who can built bikes, my collection has grown to three now. The sad part is that they collecting dust because I hardly use them. Hopefully with summer coming up, I will be able to show them off a bit. Well that is all for now... Hope everyone is doing well.

Just another Sunday at Olvera Street....

There are some places I like to visit constantly, and Olvera Street is one of them.

Although usually around the weekends it's chaos, I still don't mind going. Since I am of mexican descent, I feel closer to the culture that I still learn more about every day.

If you ever get a chance to come to LA, make sure you visit this place. There is a lot of history, a lot of culture, lots of color and AMAZING yummy food...

Hey New York, I love you.....

Recently I took a trip to New York City. It was a very short trip but I had lots of fun. New York never disappoints.

There is so much to see and so much to do. I honestly can't explain how much I love this city. It's amazing. Everyone knows how much I love my LA but I also love NYC.

So before going to NYC, I posted on my facebook and twitter (you can follow me if you likeRoquePrincess) that I was going to take over NY, screw Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. Well I guess someone heard I was taking over because guess who was on my plane? KourtneyKardashian. Lol. Yes, it was too funny. I had the chance to talk to her while we were waiting to board the plane. I told her my little story and she just laughed. Also her friend said the same thing many have told me "you resemble kourt!" I don't see it, but I guess I'll take it as a compliment.

Well enough of that. Time for bed. I have a long day ahead of me. Enjoy the pictures. and please excuse my no makeup its 5am and all I want to do is sleep look.

I promised I was going to update this blog more often and so I am doing so right now. I have lots of things and pictures to post.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Just the fact that you can dress up and be anything for a day. Usually there's halloween parties as soon as October comes along. I went to parties and also I went to Vegas. I love Vegas. Vegas never disappoints me. Halloween 2010 was another hit! What did you dress up as? I was Miss America, Marine Girl, and Pocahontas...

where in the world is lisa?

I am sorry for the long hiatus. I've been really busy with school and taking mini trips. Just last week I went to Sacramento and Santa Barbara to celebrate my brothers birthday. We had a blast. Oh I just enjoy being in Santa Barbara. Besides the shops, the views are beautiful.

My cousin's are in town for this week and I since they never really seen LA, I decided to show them around all week. Yesterday we spent all day in Hollywood. Some how Tim (My navigation system, do you have a name for yours?) got us lost up in the Hollywood Hills. I didn't mind because we got to see amazing homes and views.

hunting for treasures

Once again, today was a beautiful day in LA. A beautiful 80 degrees! After class I decided to go hunt for lovely treasures. There are soo many flea markets and swapmeet's with good treasures. Usually I am on the hunt for vintage jewelry so i can re-sell it and also keep some. Today i was lucky enough to find a couple of items. i am debating whether I should start my own ebay store. We shall see... I hope you all had a wonderful day.. weekend is almost here, thank god! =)
