A-line love…

Let me start off by saying “Happy Tuesday!” Hope you are having a great Tuesday.

Yesterday I decided to wear one of my new A-line skirts. I never realized how many A-line skirts I had until I started cleaning out my closet. My love for A-line skirts is bigger than I thought.

It’s Friday. Happy Friday!!! Although it’s been a hectic morning for me, I am excited that it’s Friday.

Today I decided to straighten my hair. I don’t even remember the last time I decided to straighten my hair. Usually if I blow-dry it, I curl it. But today I decided I should straighten it (my hair is naturally wavy). Well I didn’t realize how long my hair really was. Yes, all the hair you see in my pictures is all my real hair. And yes, it’s that long!

Casual Friday...

Friday is already here and I’m so excited because I can sleep in this weekend. Hahaha. I remember when Friday meant the beginning of a crazy weekend filled with parties and alcoholic drinks. Now it means I can stay in, watch some Netflix and catch up on all my shows recorded on my DVR. My life has changed completely, that’s for sure!

It’s been a very long time since I last blogged especially blogging about my outfits. I have truly missed it. Life has been hectic as usual and I had other priorities to take care of. But I am back! J

Leather Kind of Day...

Today I decided to wear my faux leather skirt I bought from H&M. Usually I am very picky about faux leather and I hardly buy it. Many of the times faux leather looks really cheap and that’s one of the reasons why I tend to just buy the real leather. But when I saw this skirt at H&M, I thought it was adorable and the leather didn’t look so cheap.

So for the past two days its been raining like crazy here in LA. It doesn’t rain all year and when it rains, it pours for days. As much as I know we need the rain, I am over it. It’s ruining my Christmas lights decorating time. Hahaha.

Never did I ever think I was going to quote Taylor Swift on one of my blog entries. But lately I am obsessing over her new cd. If you haven’t heard it, please do so. I’ve been enjoying it since Monday. I think I might just need Taylor Swift rehab. Hahaha

The Return...

Well I honestly don’t know where to begin? Should I start with apologizing for the long hiatus? Or should I just skip the repetitive, “I am sorry for not posting anything in so long” line?

If you want a reason on why I haven’t posted anything in months well my reason is that I got busy with life. If you follow me on Instagram, you will noticed that I was traveling a lot these past couple of months (more than usual). And there were so many changes in my life that I didn’t have time to blog and/or didn’t have the energy to since there were many downs (don’t worry, there were many ups as well). If you still follow me, I want to thank you for sticking around! I sincerely apologize for the lack of effort on my part. But having a job, traveling, school, and just life in general, it’s hard to keep up with a blog.

The Never Ending...

Romper love!

As you have noticed, lately I’ve been wearing a lot of rompers. I know I have said this many times but I absolutely LOVE them!!!!

If you are anywhere in Southern California, you have been dealing with this crazy heat wave. I live next to the beach and even at the beach it’s been in the high 90’s. There’s this dry warm wind, the ocean water is warm, and you take a shower and feel icky right after, it’s horrible! But at night, there is that beach breeze and makes you cold. This weather is so bipolar it makes it difficult to figure out what to wear. You must find something that keeps you cool during the day but warm during night. And that’s why I run to my rompers!

About my hair.

This is a very random blog post but I thought I should talk about it since I get a lot of questions about my hair.

If you know me, you will know that my hair is my security blanket. Recently I decided to cut it so I can donate hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. My intention was to get a bob haircut but at the end I chickened out and just cut off 8 inches (enough to donate).  Although at times I miss my extra 8 inches of hair, I do not regret it because somewhere out there someone is going to love my hair as much as I did.

Combining...

my two loves: Fashion and Sports!

Some of you might know that I love sports! I am the type of girl who screams, cheers and yells like a guy at a bar when his team is playing. I am not like those girls who hate sports or only like it because of their significant other. I LOVE Sports! I love football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. I even have my “Jersey Sundays” which means, I wear one of my favorite team’s jersey or shirt and I put my hair in a bun and out the door! Kind of like how I am wearing it here in these pictures. But don’t think I do this all the time. Sometimes, I just lay around my home with a big jersey on and snack on junk food and drink beer.

Many believe that sports gear is not fashionable at all. And sure, they might not be nicest and fashion forward but there are ways to make it look cute. But you have to admit, sports gear got a lot better through out the years especially for women!

I am definitely going to do more post like this because I want to show and maybe inspire those girls who do like to wear sports gear how to make them look a lot more girly and fashionable than just wearing it plain.

Today I paired my Chicago Bears shirt from Victoria Secret Pink Collection with a fur vest, jeans and some booties. Weather is definitely getting chillier so I am now able to wear my fur items. How exciting! Like I said before, I will post more of these posts in the future. If you do like sports, let me know how you combine your sports gear with fashion.

The garment...

That caused a big scene at work.

When I bought this skirt last year from ASOS, I realized I had to get it tailored. The skirt was just so long and being 5’1 I tend to have this problem a lot. Finally after a year I found someone that specializes in leather and I was able to get it tailored for my height. I was so excited to wear it! Finally, I decided to wear it and I never knew a piece of garment would cause so much commotion at work. I mean, sure it’s a leather skirt but it’s not showing much other than my knees. It’s not a Miley Cyrus VMA’s outfit.

I decided to pair it with my favorite jean shirt. I love pairing leather with jean, I find it very now. I went to work thinking and feeling great. Until I had someone tell me, “I don’t think your skirt is very appropriate for work.” At that moment, I said to myself, “WHAT? What are you talking about, its just a leather skirt, I am not wearing short shorts!”

I rarely talk about my job or the people working there, but one thing I will say is that many dress like slobs. They wear pajamas to work!!! So for this person to say that made me get sassy and I turned around and said, “Well I don’t think dressing like a slob is appropriate for work either!” and I walked away.

Don’t worry, I didn’t go home and change. Why should I? I see nothing wrong with the outfit. I will continue on wearing this skirt to work because I can. Regardless of what anyone says…

White After Labor Day

We have all heard of the old rule, “No white after Labor Day”, but does anyone obey this rule now in days? I certainly believe that you should wear any color you want whenever you feel like it. If you want to wear bright pink during cold winter days, go for it! I am a believer that color can cheer up a person.

So with that said, I refuse to not wear white after Labor Day. I will wear white whenever I want. That’s my prerogative. Hahaha.

With that said, I hope you all had a great summer. Where I live, it seems like summer just started. Still in 90’s and it doesn’t seem like fall weather will kick in anytime soon. Indian summer perhaps? Whatever it is, I appreciate the heat!

Hello Summer...

And Hello July aka my Birthday month.

I feel like I am 10 when I say that but every time July comes, I think of it as my birthday month. Although I also need to share my birthday month with America’s Birthday (July 4th) I don’t mind. Hahaha.

Anyways, summer is officially here and it’s been HOT!!!! 95 + degrees hot, humid hot, and just plain HOTTTTT!!!! Today I decided to wear this new pencil skirt I recently purchased at, *drum roll*, Forever 21! WHATTT!!!! Hahaha. I honestly haven’t been inside that store in probably a year. I find their clothes disposable. As soon as I throw the clothes in the washing machine, something happens to it. I rather spend a little more at other stores for a better quality. But recently, I saw this skirt on a girl and asked her where she got it. To my surprise it was Forever 21. I don’t know if they have changed the quality of their clothing, but this skirt definitely didn’t seem Forever 21-ish (you like my new word? Hahaha). The quality is actually very good and its not see-through! I am very happy with my purchase. Maybe now I will look into Forever 21 a little bit more.

The unthinkable...

Just happen. Yes, this is me dressed casual. I know to some dressing in shorts and t-shirts is comfortable and their way of dressing, but for me, I much prefer dressing in dresses and pretty heels. But since I am headed to the country club, I decided to dress in something more appropriate for the day. Also, I believe this is the first time I have posted pictures of me in flats! Double shocker!

Don’t think that this is going to be an everyday thing. Trust me I have my cute dresses and skirts waiting for me. Hahaha.

Well hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Remember to drink lots of water! Its officially summer and the weather is hot everywhere, (and humid for some parts). So drink your water and put on some sunblock!
