Wednesday!

Finally the weather is cooling down and I can actually wear clothes I bought for winter. I know I will regret this when I go back to Chicago. But for now I am grateful that its cooler and I can wear warm clothes. Hahaha.

Hola...

I wanted to start off by saying Thank you for everyone who shopped my Chloe & Isabel Pop Up store. I had lots of hosting this event. I hope you all enjoy your new jewelry pieces as much as I have enjoyed mine. Also, thank you for those who checked it out. Even if you didn’t buy anything, which I understand, thank you for taking the time to look at the site. I appreciate it! :)

Well fall is officially here but oddly the weather doesn’t know this. It’s still 80 something degrees in LA. For the first time, I am actually excited for it to be fall. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, the sun and the heat, but I’ve been buying so many items for fall and winter, that I just want to start wearing them. I guess I will have to wait until the weather decides to change. Or I can use my fall weather when I am back in Chicago again later next month.

Until then, skirts, shorts, and dresses will do. Hope you are enjoying the beginning of fall! And for those of you who follow me on Instagram and Twitter, you are aware I cut off 8 inches of my hair. Don't worry, my hair is still long enough to style it and I also was able to donate my hair. I hope whoever gets my hair loves it as much as I did. These pictures were taken last week before my haircut. I haven't had a chance to post them.  Anyways, enjoy the rest of the week!

Lisa

Just stopping by to...

Say "Hello" and to apologize for my lack of updates. For those who have full time jobs, they understand that sometimes work can get hectic and take up most of your time. That is currently my situation. With work and traveling (for work), it can get hectic and tiring. Besides work, I was out traveling for my birthday celebrations and other celebrations. I will post pictures of those fun times soon!
I was able to take some pictures this week of my outfit, but guess what? I am back on a plane and heading back to Chicago. I am headed to Lollapalooza! Which I am so excited! Make sure you follow me on Instagram because I will be posting pictures of my outfits. Any of you are going to Lollapalooza? Let me know!
Enjoy!

Lisa

Hello Monday...

...We meet again!

I currently have a bad case of the Mondays. Also, being awake since 4:30am doesn’t help. I would rather be at home sleeping or watching bad TV shows such as one of my favorite, the Maury show. But instead I had to come in to work and do what majority do, and that’s work! I know I shouldn’t be complaining about working when many are unemployed and still losing jobs but today is one of those days when you just feel mentally exhausted and don’t feel the weekend was enough days off to regain strength. But I promise it’s just today!

For those of you who are currently on vacation or don’t need to work, I envy you right now. For those who are working, I know you understand my pain. HA!

Tomorrow is a new day! Hope your Monday is better than mine and you are well rested to start the week!

Xoxo,

Lisa

Long Hair...

Thursday, May 16, 2013

Big curls… That’s my hairstyle preference. I have always heard, “the bigger the hair, the closer to god”, or “big Texas hair”. I am not a religious person and I am definitely not from Texas (Proud Californian! Woo Woo! Hahaha), but I do love both sayings! Every time I curl my hair, (I recommend hot rollers for that beautiful big Texas hair aka pageant hair or the flat iron for curls that will hold ALL day), I think of those sayings. I guess I am never going to let go of my pageant days and having pageant curled hair.

Anyways, in a previous blog post, I mention my love for Diane von Furstenberg. I feel like this woman REALLY knows what women want. Not only is she providing women with timeless pieces with amazing quality, she is providing clothes that make women feel like powerful and confident.

I’ve been obsessed with the “Zarita” dress for months. Finally, I decided to purchase it. There were so many colors to choose from but I decided to go with this green (I do recommend the black for my ladies who don’t have that perfect timeless little black dress). I feel like the green really compliments my skin tone. But let me tell you, it was hard to let go of that Hot Barbie Pink! The Hot Barbie Pink (Hot Pink but I call anything hot pink, Hot Barbie Pink) is beautiful! It’s so bright, colorful, and anyone will really stand out with it but I figured knowing me, I will wear it one time to a party and never wear it again since I will feel like everyone is going to remember that bright dress. So green it was.

This dress is not only beautiful but it’s easy to move in. You know there are times when a dress is so hard to move in, and this dress is perfect for any occasion and place. You can take it to work or you can go out dancing in it. Whatever you chose to do, you will not be disappointed with this dress. Now I understand why it’s so popular amongst celebrities.

And before I let you go, I want to say something that I am certain it will brighten up your day, it’s THURSDAY! We are only one day away from the weekend! Woo hoo!

Enjoy!

Lisa

Who wears short shorts...

Lisa wears short shorts...

Happy Monday!

Although, I really want to say there’s nothing happy about it and it’s more like horrible Monday. Its 100 degrees outside and my work air conditioner has broken down. Just imagine a room full of bodies, no kind of ventilation, everyone complaining on how hot it is. Yes, not a good way to start a Monday.

But I won’t ruin your Monday and I hope its going a lot better than mine!

With that said, this weekend was great. The weather was amazing, hence why I decided to wear shorts all weekend and show them on my new outfit post, I was able to catch up on my magazine readings, TV shows, shopping, friends and family, and what I needed the most, some sleep! I couldn’t ask for anything else. And yes, I did have those drinks I was craving on my last post. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Xoxo,

Lisa

PS. Ignore those creases on my hair. It was extremely hot and I even started to sweat (gross, I know) so it was making my hair wavy.

Let's Sail Away...

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

with my nautical clothing.

Like I mention in my last post, the weather has been perfect. One thing I love about spring is being able to wear dresses.  I am now able to wear dresses I bought during the winter.

Today I decided to go nautical with this striped dress. Since its short sleeve, and I had to go to work, I put on my Brooks Brother Blazer which I LOVE! For the first time, I feel like a blazer was made for me. It fits perfectly without tailoring. If you're petite like me, go to Brooks Brothers and browse through their petite clothing. I know petite clothing can sometimes be ugly but they have amazing pieces and fit well.

With this nautical outfit I decided to take pictures over looking the ocean. Little did I know it was going to be very windy. I was trying to avoid a Marilyn Monroe moment by my dress blowing up. Trust me, it wouldn't have been as graceful as hers.

Well off to work... Happy Wednesday!

Xoxo,
Lisa
