That red lip classic thing that you like…”

Never did I ever think I was going to quote Taylor Swift on one of my blog entries. But lately I am obsessing over her new cd. If you haven’t heard it, please do so. I’ve been enjoying it since Monday. I think I might just need Taylor Swift rehab. Hahaha

my two loves: Fashion and Sports!

Some of you might know that I love sports! I am the type of girl who screams, cheers and yells like a guy at a bar when his team is playing. I am not like those girls who hate sports or only like it because of their significant other. I LOVE Sports! I love football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. I even have my “Jersey Sundays” which means, I wear one of my favorite team’s jersey or shirt and I put my hair in a bun and out the door! Kind of like how I am wearing it here in these pictures. But don’t think I do this all the time. Sometimes, I just lay around my home with a big jersey on and snack on junk food and drink beer.

Many believe that sports gear is not fashionable at all. And sure, they might not be nicest and fashion forward but there are ways to make it look cute. But you have to admit, sports gear got a lot better through out the years especially for women!

I am definitely going to do more post like this because I want to show and maybe inspire those girls who do like to wear sports gear how to make them look a lot more girly and fashionable than just wearing it plain.

Today I paired my Chicago Bears shirt from Victoria Secret Pink Collection with a fur vest, jeans and some booties. Weather is definitely getting chillier so I am now able to wear my fur items. How exciting! Like I said before, I will post more of these posts in the future. If you do like sports, let me know how you combine your sports gear with fashion.

Hope you are enjoying your day!

Lisa

The garment...

Thursday, October 17, 2013

That caused a big scene at work.

When I bought this skirt last year from ASOS, I realized I had to get it tailored. The skirt was just so long and being 5’1 I tend to have this problem a lot. Finally after a year I found someone that specializes in leather and I was able to get it tailored for my height. I was so excited to wear it! Finally, I decided to wear it and I never knew a piece of garment would cause so much commotion at work. I mean, sure it’s a leather skirt but it’s not showing much other than my knees. It’s not a Miley Cyrus VMA’s outfit.

I decided to pair it with my favorite jean shirt. I love pairing leather with jean, I find it very now. I went to work thinking and feeling great. Until I had someone tell me, “I don’t think your skirt is very appropriate for work.” At that moment, I said to myself, “WHAT? What are you talking about, its just a leather skirt, I am not wearing short shorts!”

I rarely talk about my job or the people working there, but one thing I will say is that many dress like slobs. They wear pajamas to work!!! So for this person to say that made me get sassy and I turned around and said, “Well I don’t think dressing like a slob is appropriate for work either!” and I walked away.

Don’t worry, I didn’t go home and change. Why should I? I see nothing wrong with the outfit. I will continue on wearing this skirt to work because I can. Regardless of what anyone says…

And that’s sassy Lisa, y’all! Hahaha. Just wanted to share my little leather skirt story with you all. Hope you are all having a great week. Remember: wear what you want, just as long as you keep it classy! :)

And I go...

Back to Black…Just like Amy Winehouse said in her song. Hahaha!

Don’t you just find it hard not to wear black? Don’t get me wrong, all of you know I love color, but some of my major staples are all black. I’ve been really trying to stay away from buying black but it’s almost impossible to do. Example will be this black jumpsuit I bought at Nordstrom’s. I don’t even remember where I saw this jumpsuit but I remember wanting it. It was difficult to find my size in my local Nordstrom’s. Finally it was available and of course I didn’t hesitate and bought it.

I absolutely love this jumpsuit. It’s not only comfortable, but I think it’s stylish and chic. And did I mention it’s less than $100!? Yes, I believe its $78. I have seen similar jumpsuits for $300 and above. I don’t know about you, but I would much rather spend that money on shoes than on a jumpsuit. I really wished they carried more colors. I would’ve definitely bought other colors as well.

Well I must get back to work. Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

Hola...

I wanted to start off by saying Thank you for everyone who shopped my Chloe & Isabel Pop Up store. I had lots of hosting this event. I hope you all enjoy your new jewelry pieces as much as I have enjoyed mine. Also, thank you for those who checked it out. Even if you didn’t buy anything, which I understand, thank you for taking the time to look at the site. I appreciate it! :)

Well fall is officially here but oddly the weather doesn’t know this. It’s still 80 something degrees in LA. For the first time, I am actually excited for it to be fall. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, the sun and the heat, but I’ve been buying so many items for fall and winter, that I just want to start wearing them. I guess I will have to wait until the weather decides to change. Or I can use my fall weather when I am back in Chicago again later next month.

Until then, skirts, shorts, and dresses will do. Hope you are enjoying the beginning of fall! And for those of you who follow me on Instagram and Twitter, you are aware I cut off 8 inches of my hair. Don't worry, my hair is still long enough to style it and I also was able to donate my hair. I hope whoever gets my hair loves it as much as I did. These pictures were taken last week before my haircut. I haven't had a chance to post them.  Anyways, enjoy the rest of the week!

Hello...

Brights! It's mid October and I am still wearing bright colors and shorts. Its almost hard to believe its even fall. This weather has even affected my mood towards Halloween.

Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. I love getting creative and dressing up. But this year, I just don't seem to be so enthusiastic about it. Maybe another reason why its because I've been extremely busy with work and school. Are you going to dress up? Let me know!

Have a great weekend!

Indian Summer....

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

has really hit us this year and I am enjoying every moment of it. While in most places it is starting to cool down, where I live it still feels like summer. I am not a sweater kind of gal and I am easily cold, so this heat wave has been delightful for me. There are so many bloggers already wearing sweaters, scrarves and warm outfits while I am here wearing the lightest dress I can possibly find.

I must admit, its been a challenge trying to find outfits that are appropriate for work but cool enough for this weather. I know all good things come to and end sooner or later, so please don't mind me and my light summer like outfits.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

xoxo,
Lisa
